{"id":1327,"date":"2026-04-12T23:37:58","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T23:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/icfa.mini.icom.museum\/?p=1327"},"modified":"2026-04-12T23:37:58","modified_gmt":"2026-04-12T23:37:58","slug":"icom-icfa-now-live-on-linkedin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icfa.mini.icom.museum\/fr\/icom-icfa-now-live-on-linkedin\/","title":{"rendered":"ICOM ICFA Now Live on LinkedIn"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gmail_default\">\n<p>We are excited to announce the launch of the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/icom-icfa-international-committee-for-museums-and-collections-of-fine-arts\/\">ICOM ICFA LinkedIn page<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>For those who don&#8217;t yet know us, we are the International Committee for the Fine Arts of the International Council of Museums.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">As one of the largest communities within ICOM, ICFA has a powerful voice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">However, I believe we can still do much more to influence the world through the lens of fine arts. Until now, our conversations were mostly limited to our annual meetings. In today\u2019s digital age, we have the perfect opportunity to keep that dialogue alive every day.<\/p>\n<p>One of the central questions I often reflect on is: What truly distinguishes &#8220;fine arts&#8221; from &#8220;non-fine arts&#8221;? Is it a matter of geography, period, or ethnicity?<\/p>\n<p>The original definitions of &#8220;fine art&#8221; might have seemed clear in the past, but they are now being challenged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">In my view, ignoring the &#8220;cracks&#8221; or contradictions in these old definitions would be a missed opportunity for our future. It is our collective responsibility to face these tensions head-on to build a better, more inclusive world.<\/p>\n<p>Our mission is to start a real discussion\u2014one that looks at the world from diverse perspectives. Fine arts are no exception to this global shift.<\/p>\n<p>Join us.
